Scheduling is a challenge for all busy companies. In a dynamic production environment things often change so quickly that rescheduling all processes to cater for an unexpected breakdown, staff issues is difficult. 

Our founders have had extensive manufacturing experience and understand these challenges. The M-Power solution leverages our three year research partnership with RMIT university into visual scheduling and combines it with practical theory. Some foundations of our scheduling system are:

  • Scheduling is a managing queue, even if schedules change then a jobs position on that queue is a function of the clients importance or some other value judgement.
  • It is not practical to schedule every process - schedule only the bottlenecks and make the processes either side pick up the slack in the system. Scheduling can learn much from the project management principles of critical path
  • Scheduling relies on a dynamic assessment of the predicted time of a given process and its variability
